Realize that not all animals and fish are compatible. You may want to initially decide on a couple fish that you'd like in your tank. For use, we were looking to recreate the Nemo theme and definitely had to have a clownfish. This means that everything was focused around that. This means your landscaping, lighting and water environments will be dependent on the fish and animals you decide to keep.
