Water Hardness for Your Fish

[menus/top-google.htm]

Calcium and magnesium contribute to water hardness. The Degree of Hardness Scale (dH) ranges from 0-30 degrees.

> 4 - 8 degrees is soft water
> 18 - 30 degrees is hard water
> Most freshwater fish do well in 3 - 14 degrees of water hardness  (but check for your species requirements first. We recommend the Tropical Fishlopaedia to help you determine what your fish need)
